Mrs. Leigh Stewart, Summerside, received word yesterday of the death in the early hours of the morning of her mother, Mrs. M. E. Purdy, at Little Shemogue, N.B., at the age of 74 years. She was the former Euphemia Clark of Bedeque, later of Charlottetown. Her husband has been dead for some years.
She is survived by five daughters: Mrs. Ida Whittingham, Mrs. William Urquhart and Mrs. W. E. Burden, all of San Francisco; Mrs. Lorne Crabbe, Charlottetown; and Mrs. Stewart of Summerside mentioned above. There is also a half-sister, Mrs. Lulu Clark of Charlottetown.9
