He was not crowned, and by December 1066, he had submitted to William I and abandoned all claims to the throne.¹
Witness	Edgar Aetheling departed with Agatha --, of Hungary, About 1068. Agatha and her children, Margaret, Christina and Edgar fled England on a ship, landing on the coast od Scotland. It is not known if this landing was intentional, perhaps because they were blown off course. Some accounts indicate that Agatha intended to return with her children to Hungary.³
