In politics he was an enthusiastic Conservative, and he always made it his aim to assist in working out the principles of the party that he knew to be sincere in their intentions. He leaves to mourn a family of five sons and five daughters. The sons are Benjamin, in Winnipeg, John and Fred, in British Columbia, Frank and George at home; the daughter are Mary, Summerside, and Emma, Lottie, Minnie and Bertie at home. His funeral will take place on Thursday afternoon.3,2
