Aftergraduatingfrom King's Business College, she worked as a stenographerat the Port Arhur Grain Exchange and the CNR express office inAtikokan. She was a great mother, excellent cook and had a outgoing personalitywith a great sense of humor. She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Starand a lifetime member of the Church of Good Shepherd in Atikokan. Sheloved to play bridge and curl which she played up to the year of herdemise. Her greatest love was gardening which she spent a great many hours at.When Murray got my first car and took his mother out for rides in the25 or miles that was available at the time in Atikokan, They neverfailed to stop and shovel up moss for the garden. She spent many hours trying to tutor her son Morris, who was mentallyslow, a heartbreaker for the family. She came into her own with her grandchildren always ensuring thatthere was a lot of cookies when they came for their almost dailyvisits. This carried on in the manner of gifts and toys for the kids. The family fondly remember the nights that they spent sitting aroundthe radio listening to the Lux Radio Theatre, Jack Benny, The GreenHornet, Fibber Magee and Molly, Fred Allen etc. Moore Lake is a little lake in Renfrew county Ontario, Her dadapparently was a trapper at one time.(see his story)
