Census |
1891 |
, 54 George St., Coupar Angus, Angus, Scotland [3] |
- the town of Coupar Angus was transferred from the county of Angus to Perthshire sometime after the 1891 census. Included in Jane's household were her children George (age 21), Jane (age 18), Thomas (age 14), John (age 11), Maggie (age 9) and Robert (age 6). There was also Kate Lamond (age 1), listed as a boarder, born 1890 in Kettins, Forfarthshire. Kate's relationship is unknown at this writing, however she is likely the same girl called Kate Brand, age 11 in the 1901 census, listed as 'adopted daughter'. Jane was listed as "Wife", yet her husband Thomas did not appear in this or the 1901 census returns.
