- Henry was not interested in any funeral activities following Anne's execution, nor was there a proper coffin. Her body lay on the scaffold for some time before someone, thought to have been a worker from the Tower, found an empty arrow chest, and placed her head and body inside. She was then buried in an unmarked grave in the Chapel of St. Peter ad Vincula, the parish church of the Tower of London. Her skeleton was identified during renovations of the chapel during the reign of Queen Victoria. Anne's resting place is now marked in the marble floor. This chapel is best known as the burial place of the most famous prisoners of the Tower of London.
