- Silas Card - From a copy of his obituary:' He was a ship carpenter and quite famous for his strength and workmanship. He had a narrow escape from a watery grave, he was the only one saved from a small coastal schooner that was shipwrecked in the Bay of Fundy. When he moved to Ontario he tried farming and found it not to his liking, so turned his attention to mechanical work.' As his last child was born in Nova Scotia in 1850, he must have moved to Ontario after this date. He married 2nd, Lenora Newton (widow). He and Esther Henry had 10 children, born in Nova Scotia.
