- HISTORYOF THE HART FAMILY The Rings came from Marlborough in Whilshire. Robert Ring, born probablyabout 1614, was the first in America. He came in the 'Confidence'about1638. He receive land in the first division at Salisbury in 1640.He obtained fishing rights at Ring's Island in 1642. He marriedElizabeth ......... and had six children of whom Jarvis Rind was theeldest son. He was born Feb. 1657 and married Hannah Foster Dec. 24,1685. His second child was Hannah Ring, born Mar. 3, 1688, who marriedEbenezer Hackett in 1710.
