  Biographical Note	Amasa was a student of Medicine in Glasgow University in Glasgow, Scotland on Oct. 12, 1832 according to a letter he wrote to his brother, John S. Coy, telling him that a lot of his friends were putting their neck in a noose by getting married and tells his brother not to make that mistake. He said a man should only get married when he can't look after himself. He was living in a boarding house with a Mrs. Main, #9 Maxwell Street, Glasgow, Scotland. He died young sometime before 1907. His death notice said that he was a surgeon.
