[1] Gender Male Biographical Note - In 1760 Lieut. Lebbeus Tubbs joined a large party from Connecticut and emigrated to Grand Pre, Nova Scotia, where they settled upon lands expatiated from Acadians. In 1772 he returned to Connecticut, purchasing a farm near New London, on which he resided until 1773. He then moved to the Wyoming Valley of Pennsylvania, and was in the fort at Wyoming at the time of the massacre, but escaped unhurt. He moved from the Wyoming Valley in 1788 to Newtown (now Elmira) New York.
