- Lloyd's ashes were scattered from an Air Balloon between Buckley and Auburn, Washington shortly after his funeral. Below is an account received by e-mail from Ronald Andring - e-mailaddress: andringr@@bmi.net 'Lloyd Charles Andring. It actually gets quite confusing because Lloyd's parents have common ancestors on both sides of the family ( hisgrandmothers were both cousins, his mother's brother married his father'ssister, etc.) In order to understand the full relationship requires morethan just a few names. If you don't have software which will read the file I can print out apaper list, and then after you receive it I can help walk you throughit. All of the Andring in North America are descended from Michael Andring, but after he got here, things started to get complicated. The Andring, Mans and Keltgen families have gotten pretty tangled together (a tradition which seems to continue to the present day). I also have information about the family back in Luxembourg. I have been communicating with Hubert Barnich who has tracked much of the family in his native Belgium. I also owe a lot of what I have to Beverly Andring Amsden and Lloyd Mans in Minnesota. Judging by the address, you live fairly close to Lloyd and Betty. I keep meaning to get over there to see them, but it seems that with teenaged kids there just isn't enough time. I did visit my dad (Lloyd's youngest brother) last weekend, and we talked about the family again. He doesn't know much as ties with the folks in Minnesota withered after my grandfather died. I am now embarking on making contact with the descendants of Lloyd's uncle Peter Andring in the Vancouver/Longview area. That branch of the family is largely a mystery to me, although I have pictures of my dad and his family visiting them at least until he was a young adult. With time I am hoping to create a book with everything I know about the family, so that anyone interested can obtain the information. Unfortunately that won't be any time soon (the kids will have to be gone before I have both the time and the space to spread it all out and sort through it). In the mean time, I plug away at it, hoping to make sense of the volumes I have received. At present I am working on merging the information that Hubert Barnichand Lloyd Mans sent me. Much of it seems straight forward, but their are differences. And given the many interconnections between my dad's parents' families it will take a little more doing to make sense of it all. Some sources you might want to also look at is the Keltgen Family Homepage. It has listings for the Keltgen family (I think Punky Julson is the semi-official keeper of the history). It is at www.keltgen.com The attt arrived it out. There is some information I didn't have, which will help fill in yet another hole or two. Nice to meet you. I hope we can meet in the future.
