- Rauh was one of five children born to Louis J. 'Louis J. 'Lebensburger-Monico, Sr. and Elizabeth Rose 'Bessie Germon' Germain whowere actors on the stage, and the name, Lebensburger was not a name to beuse on the stage, so the stage name was: Monico, hence the alias or AKA. Louis J. 'Louis J. ' Lebensburger-Monico, Sr. was born to JosephLebensburger and Rose 'Rosa' Leopold. Joseph was born in France and Rosewas born in Germany. Rauh and Goldie had just one child, Bessie Lou. Rauh Lebolt 'Pop' Lebensburger-AKA-Monico worked in the coal mines andbroke his back while working in the mines in West Virginia, then in 1941the family moved to Los Angeles, where he worked at AiresearchManufacturing Company in Los Angeles, California during World War II. Thefamily then moved to Seattle where he worked at Best Apparel departmentstore in Seattle as a janitor until he retired about 1975. Rauh Lebolt Lebensburger-Monico was killed instantly New Year's DayJanuary 1, 1980 while walking across the street when he was struck by acar on Highway 99, 500 feet south of 216th Street, in Seattle, KingCounty, Washington the State Patrol reported. The driver of the car was identified as Martin A. Albertson, 25,Seattle. He was not injured. The Patrol said Lebensburger-Monico wasnot in a crosswalk when he was hit by Albertson's southbound vehicle. The two previous paragraphs were stated in the Seattle Times newspaper onthe 2nd of January, 1980. Rauh is buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 6701 30th Avenue SW in Seattle,King County, Washington next to his wife, Goldie. They share the samegravestone.
