He had lived at the home of his son here for nine years. Mr. Mead is survived by four sons L.B. Mead, Long Beach, California, L.L. Mead, Seattle, Washington, G.E. Mead, Wellsville, N.Y. and O.W. Mead, Bradford; four daughters Mrs. Martha BurdlekLong Beach, California, Mrs. Leona Slocum, Andover, N.Y., Mrs. Altha Hoaglund, Springwater, N.Y. and Mrs. Dickenson, Bradford, Pa. Mr. Mead was a memberof the Albany Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held at the home, no. 47 Euclid Avenue at ___ o'clock and will be taken to Andover N.Y. to be buried. ================================================ George W. Mead Co. He was wounded in action on July 2, 1863 at Gettysburg, Pa. He transferred to the Veteran Reserve Corps on Feb. 15, 1864. from The Adjutant General's Report. His tombstone in Andover, N.Y. reads: George Washington Mead Co. H 86th Regt. N.Y.S. 1843- ----- Alma S. His Wife 1845-1908.
