After rectifying thisset back and overcoming various other obstacles, the house was broughtashore on April 7, 1926. It took seven more days to get the house fromthe shore up to the foundation of the old homestead using a 'deadman' anda wench. He was councillor for Queens County for eight years. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Marion on June 25th, 1998; granddaughter Debbie Farris on June 25th, 2002; sister, Dorothy Condon on August 2nd, 1999. Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Saturday, June 28th, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 29th, 2003 from the Jemseg Baptist Church at 2:00 pm. Rev. Phillip Penny officiating assisted by Rev. Ted Newell.
