- Ingham received his early education at Kensington and the entered Prince of Wales College in Charlottetown. He received his second year certificate from this college on May 10, 1917, and after graduating he received a provisional first class teacher's license. From Aug. 1917 to June 30, 1918, Ingham taught school at St. Eleanors, P.E.I.. In the fall of 1918 he entered medical school at McGill University in Montreal. After graduating from McGill in the spring of 1923, Ingham took over his late father's practice at Kensington. Dr. Jardine continued in a full practice until he sustained an unfortunate injury in an accident at the opening of Milligan and Morrison racetrack at Northam, P.E.I. in 193?. He apparently fell into an open manhole and struck his head on a cement slab. The injury was severe and for about one week afterward all traffic near his home had to be stopped as the noise bothered him so greatly. Within a few months he resumed his professional career at Kensington in full capacity. He maintained his medical career until the early 1940's when he was forced to retire due to ill health.
