- Anne was one of 12 children of Richard Plantagenet and Cecily Neville. Two of Anne's brothers were kings, namely Edward IV (born 28 April 1442, in Rouen, France) and Richard III (born 2 October 1452, in Fotheringhay Castle, Northhampton, England). Edward ruled England from 1461-1470, and 1471-1483. Richard succeeded his brother as king of England until 1485, when he was killed at the Battle of Bosworth Field.
